Four famous Bulgarian musicians, fascinated by chamber music performance, founded in 1990 an ensemble whose composition (piano - Snezhana Barova, flute - Ventsislav Kindalov, violin - Dimiter Danchev and violoncello - Seta Baltayan) allows the performance not only of quartets but also re-grouping in smaller chamber formations. The CD contains interesting and virtuoso compositions like Weber's Trio for Flute, Violoncello and Piano and Donizetti's Sonata for Flute and Piano. And alongside with them are the classical Trio-Sonata by Haydn, transcribed for violin, flute and piano and the brilliant Fantasia on Figaro's Cavatina from Il Barbiiere di Siviglia by Rossini (arranged by Danko Yordanov). Two other works add up to the treasury of 20th century music and complete the rich palette of styles of the instrumentalists - Alfred Schnittke's Suite and Madrigal Sonata by Bohuslav Martinu. Two masters of the chamber genre who synthesise forms and means of expression from the 17th and the 20th century, revealing the vast resources of creative imagination. The performance is marked by brilliant ensemble features, flexibility of sound and the specific style of each of the pieces, breathing a lively atmosphere and beauty.
