Many of them have made a successful start in their sound recording career with their first recordings. Anna Stoytcheva made her debut with her solo album "Out of Doors", which contains works of Bartok, Debussy and Brahms (Gega New, GD 216).
Anna Stoytcheva was born in Sofia and studied the piano under the famous pedagogues Lidia Kuteva and Julia Ganeva. Later, she graduated from the Juilliard School in the USA, where her teachers were Seymour Lipkin, Yoheved Kaplinsky and Jerome Lowenthal. Her talent was observed at her first appearance at competitions ("Albert Russel", "Svetoslav Obretenov", “Ettore Pozzoli") and her brilliant participation there initiated her exceptionally successful international career. Anna Stoytcheva has appeared as soloist at prestigious performing venues in the USA, Italy, Canada, and Bulgaria. She has performed with Orchestra del’Adgelicum in Milano, The Juilliard Orchestra in New York, The New World Symphony in Miami, The Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio, New Symphony Orchestra - Sofia, the Philharmonic Orchestras of Rousse and Varna. She worked with conductors Otto-Werner Mueller, Michael Tilson Thomas, Rossen Milanov, Alasdaire Neale, Georgi Dimitrov, Milen Nachev, Shao-Chia Lu, and Luigi Ripamonti. The pianist's achievements at Juilliard include the Rockefeller Award, Peter Jay Sharp Award, Helen Fay Prize and the scholarships Vladimir Horowitz, William Petschek, Lois Smith II, A. and C. Levy and M.B. Knafel Memorial Scholarship.
Her present CD features Robert Schumann and two of his most original and emotional works. |
